Beyond the horizon: Six In Solitude

Fierce winds chase
over the barren land,
six resist in solitude

Vast flat land, adjacent to the big lake. No shelter for the scourging western winds. The land is empty and deserted, a healing resting place for many birds and for a few visitors.

‘Six In Solitude’ is a photo in the series ‘Beyond the horizon’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.

I made this photo on a rainy gray afternoon in the nature reserve Holme Tange, a resting area for birds in northern Jutland, Denmark.
Holme Tange is a small wetlands area on the north bank of the Limfjord and at the south side of the Vejlerne Nature Reserve, the largest bird sanctuary in Northern Europe.
