Lost cities: All souls pass

Passing in silence
evaporate into the light
traveling souls

On a bright morning I walk along a canal. I hear a soft sound, like a duck that constantly goes under in search for food. Then the bow of a rowing boat appears from behind some bushes on the shore. The oars gently touch the water, the oarsmen speak no word and the boat glides by. Then they vaporize into the backlight of the sun.

‘All souls pass’ is a photo in the gallery ‘Lost cities‘.
I made this photo of a ‘four with coxswain’ on a canal in my former home town Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
